WESTMINSTER, Colorado– On Friday, August 11, the Target in Westminster was buzzing with excitement. Instead of the usual back-to-school shopping rush, 53 Jefferson Academy teachers were treated to a very special surprise courtesy of Bendinelli Law Firm.
In honor of Jefferson Academy’s founding year, 1994, each teacher received $37 to spend on anything they wanted or needed for the upcoming school year. That added up to $1,994 in total, a heartfelt nod to the school’s founding year.
Some teachers filled their carts with classroom supplies, while others picked up personal items they’d been needing. No matter what was in their baskets, the smiles were impossible to miss.
“Every single teacher was absolutely blown away,” said Jefferson Academy teacher, Kerri Porreco. “The joy, laughter, and gratitude shared were beyond words.”
For Bendinelli Law Firm, this was more than just a shopping trip. It was about showing appreciation for the educators who dedicate their time, energy, and personal resources to shaping the future of our community.

This year’s Steal-A-Teacher event was especially meaningful because both Jefferson Academy and Bendinelli Law Firm are celebrating 30 years of serving the Westminster community. It was the perfect way to honor that shared milestone, and to say thank you to the educators who make a difference every day.
