DENVER — New data from the Colorado Department of Transportation shows that there were more than 100,000 car accidents in the state in 2023.

That is an increase from the 95,000 crashes reported by CDOT for Colorado in 2022.

The heaviest concentration for crashes in Colorado was in the following counties, according to CDOT:

  • Adams County
  • Arapahoe County
  • Denver County
  • El Paso County
  • Jefferson County
